1 rep max training

When guys who go to the gym are around each other the most common question is “How much can you bench?” To improve your answer to this question you need to start doing 1 rep max training. Obviously, if you train regularly and keep increasing the weight your 1 rep max will go up, but specifically training for the 1 rep max is the best way to improve it. Does training for the 1 rep max have any other benefits than solely for the purpose of showing off? Yes, it helps increase physical power for a short length which is good to do but not advisable for most people only people who really want to boost their physical strength.
