Setting fitness goals and weight loss goals

December 15th, 2008

Setting fitness goals and weight loss goals is one of the most important things you should do as a gym goer.  This stage of working out is often over looked but is actually the most important thing.  It is goal setting which keeps you from stoping the gym and losing the drive.  Goal setting is not as simple as it sounds many people just thing up a goal and get on with it this is the quickest way to not reach your goal.

  • Write your fitness goal or weight loss goal down on paper and keep it
  • If you wish to lose some weight write down the exact weight you wish to be and when you want to reach it, when I mean exact I mean down to the kilo.
  • Ask yourself why you want this goal and keep asking yourself why so you find the real inner reason e.g goal- to lose weight, why? because I want to fit into smaller clothes, why? because I am fed up of people looking at me like a slob.
The points I have mentioned above are crucial and will make achieving your goal alot more likely than if you just think up a goal and give it two seconds thought.  In the bullet points above this way of achieving goals can be applied to any goals in life.  This breakdown of how to achieve goals is used by many life coaches across the world and if you want a much more in detail talk and help with achieving goals then come to Personal training studios and ask for me Rob as this is an area I specialize in.   Good luck with reaching your goals.
