Eating out healthily

When eating out it is easy to consume too much fat, salt and calories. When eating out there are lots of things you can do to make your dinner healthier for you. Simply by sharing your food for example you are cutting down the amount you are eating and therefore not consuming as many calories, there are plenty of tips like this we are going to cover.
When eating out try to go for dishes that are grilled, boiled, poached, steamed or stir fried. When choosing what to eat go for chicken without the skin, ham and beef, prawns, fish and pulses. When picking fish make sure you pick low mercury fish. Try and pick food that has sources such as tomatoes and vegetables. Keep away from battered dishes or deep fired dishes. keep away from all the stuff that you know is coated in sugar. Keep away from sources based on cheese and cream.
If you follow the above menu choices in restaurants you should be ok and remember the following tips to.
- Try not to snack on bread before your meal arrives.
- In tapas restaurants don’t order too many dished it will not only save you money but keep you healthier.
- If you want a dessert go for a fresh fruit salad
- Have a glass of fruit juice with your meal
- Share your starter with your partner and even share your main course if you want to
Remember eating out healthily doesn’t have to be boring with horrible food it can still be just as good and the next day you don’t regret it.
