Losing weight myths

  1. Wearing a bin bag in the sauna will make you lose weight fast- all a bin bag around you in a sauna will do is get rid of body water.  This is good for boxers who need to lose weight fast before a weigh in but for people trying to lose weight this is not only dangerous but not effective.  This method can lead to you having a heart attack or passing out easily.
  2. Stopping eating will make me lose weight fast- if you stop eating for longer periods of the day each day you will suffer from muscle wasting and your body will store more of the food you eat as fat.  Your overall weight may drop but your shape will certainly suffer.
  3. Not drinking water regulalry- some people cut back on water as they think it bloats them but actually more water you drink the less you are bloated as the body only bloats when we store water because we are not getting enough water regularly.
