Get a body like Cristiano Ronaldo

Most young men these days when asked who they would like to have a body like say Cristiano Ronaldo.  So how do you get a body like his, and what did he do to get his body in this shape?

Cristiano Ronaldo like David Beckham has a very ripped toned muscular body, he doesn’t have large muscles like Micah Richards just a low body fat percentage and toned muscles.  Cristiano Ronaldo would be training 4-5 times a week for football for 3-5 hours at a time which would certainly get his fat low, his workouts would be mainly high rep exercises for toning and muscular endurance and would avoid heavy weight lifting because being bulky for a footballer is not ideal.  Most normal people can’t fit in this kind of training as they have jobs and other commitments and this kind of training is only possible when you are a professional athlete.

How do I get in this shape ?

The best way to get in this shape is to do 40-60 minute runs or an alternative cardio exercise for this duration three to four times a week.  This amount of cardio will certainly get you down to a low fat level like Cristiano’s as long as you keep to a strict diet as well.  Combine this cardio with ab workouts each time you workout spending 15 minutes each time on abs, combining both leg raises and crunches for your ab workouts.  When training your upper body with weights keep to 12-20 reps making sure you push those final reps right to failure, you may want to add a couple of heavy weight sets, low reps in for shoulders as Cristiano’s shoulders are his one body part that is quite bulky so you will need the heavier weights for the size.

What is his diet like and what should mine be like ?

Diet wise someone like Cristiano would not be on a low carb diet as he needs the energy for football and that is more important than how his body looks visually, however, because he is training so much the calories will burn away fast and leave him with this great shape.  For the average guy trying to get in this low fat shape you need to keep your diet a lot lower in calories than say Ronaldo as you are not doing as much cardio as him but certainly don’t lower the calories too much to limit your muscle growth.

Isaac's story

Because I am blind, I cannot learn new exercises by watching my trainer nor can he show me what I am doing wrong – he has to either verbalise the technique or demonstrate by physically making adjustments to my body shape.

For this reason, I need to work with a trainer who can effectively explain an exercise and describe the postures and workings of the body that correspond to the proper execution of that exercise. I have found such a trainer in Rob, and as a result, working out with him is both productive and enjoyable.

Through careful instruction and my conscious effort to comprehend and implement what I’m being told, I gain a greater understanding of the mechanics and purpose of an exercise than perhaps I would through visual imitation.

The team's knowledge, creativity and flexibility make training at MyFitness Studio both a worthwhile pleasure and an education.

I decided to invest in some personal training sessions six months before my wedding in July 2011 and have been training with Rob and the team ever since.

As is the case for so many brides (and grooms) to be, I was a bit nervous about the pressure of looking good on my wedding day. My objective was simply to lose some weight and tone up so I could feel confident and happy with how I would look in our wedding pictures.

At my first session Rob identified key areas for us to work on including my arms, thighs and bottom and how specifically to make all of those areas slimmer and tighter. I originally trained only twice a week and saw huge changes in my body after just a couple of months. My arms were noticeably toned and my bottom smaller and tighter.

The team gave me great nutritional information to ensure my diet supported my training and weight loss goals. By my wedding in July I had not only hit my weight loss target, I had toned up dramatically. I felt in the best shape of my life and as a result I felt confident and happy in my dress. That on-the-day confidence really shows through in our pictures and I’m so thankful to MyFitness Studio for helping me achieve this.

Our Fit for the Occasion sessions were the right mix of fun and hard work and I enjoyed them so much that I couldn’t give up training after the wedding.
