March 26th- My first session with my new PT

May 6th, 2009

So, Rob, the trainer … so far so good.  He was a bit grumpy about being made to get out of bed and go to the park at 7 am – which is a good thing, I don’t think I could have coped with a “morning person”.

He made me run a bit – which was scary, and then do some boxing which I liked a lot, and some tricep dips, which I didn’t like at all, and some star jumps which I think may be my Olympic sport of choice! I think that he might have been lulling me into a false sense of security for my first session but it worked – I’m in for the next five weeks …

Laura’s blog-March 2009- thinking of getting a personal trainer

May 6th, 2009

This month I am turning forty something.  I have decided that I want to be able to run around the park in the summer – or at least walk to the tube station without getting out of breath.  it’s no good pretending any longer, I need to get fit and I’m going to need someone to shout at me to make it happen.

Have found a trainer on Google – he sounds good, he’s local and most importantly he’s affordable.

Am meeting him at the bandstand in the park on Thursday.  I think he thinks I may be a nutter – he said that he would need to meet me and do one session before I could commit to a block of ten – I really don’t need the option of an out-clause … to be honest as long as he’s not a serial killer I’m prepared to commit to him for the next five weeks … how much damage could he do ?
