Flossing teeth daily increases life expectancy

November 22nd, 2009

I was browsing a life expectancy site the other day, not that I am nearing the end of my life but to make precautions to ensure I am doing the best I can for a long healthy life.  The site mentioned one point that I has not thought of which was about flossing your teeth.  Flossing your teeth daily plays a big part in life expectancy.  When you floss you prevent the gums from being inflamed, when your gums are inflamed you have a chronic bacterial infection in your mouth, which goes on to harm your arteries and in the end harming your heart.  For a healthy heart flossing is the answer and since reading this I am making sure I do this everyday.  Some doctors say flossing alone can increase your life expectancy by 1 year and some say up to 6 years, there is a reason to do it.

Honestly, I started flossing religoiusly not because of health reasons…

I started to floss because Igot *SLIGHTLY* involved with a girl.It was fun and all, but in hindsight I was a little diqusted becaues I remember first looking at her and remembering plaque build up..

I also remember a funky taste in my mouth, which motivated me..

The opposite sex notice things like that! It (at least for me) is a MAJOR turn on seeing a clearn, no plaque mouth!
