Get a body like Will Smith

July 23rd, 2009

It is said that to go from 85 kg to 100kg for the film Ali the actor Will Smith worked out 5 days a week for 6 hours a day: including plenty of running and boxing training. Luckily for you, you won’t (or more simply, can’t due to our daily hectic lives) need to train 6 hours a day to get the same physique.

However, you will need to dedicate a lot of time to yourself (gym, diet, rest etc) to achieve the same results. His routine can simply be split down to a 5 day a week training schedule which consists of running 5 to 10 km’s every other training day and a properly structured weight training routine focusing on one or two body parts each day.

Once you have your exercise routine that you have been adhering to then you then need to think long and hard about your diet to achieve the super low body fat needed to show off your newly built muscles – the easiest way to do this is to slowly cut the number of calories you consume each day (5 to 10 percent maximum). During the weight loss phase or your training its important to continue a certain level of strength training or your body will cannibalise your muscles instead of body fat – disaster!

All in all it’s a simple formula to follow: diet and exercise…now you need to dedicate yourself to your goals and motivate yourself to train hard.
