Marijuana’s affects on fitness and building muscle

People who feel they have escaped the dangers associated with smoking cigarettes by switching to marijuana should examine closely the harm on the body this drug causes. Marijuana not only contains a huge amount of tar way more than most cigarettes it causes damage to the brain possibly leading to anxiety attacks, paranoia and general restlessness. Marijuana remains in the body for along time after smoking a joint some say around 30% of marijuana’s active agents remain in the body for up to a week and 70% up to 2 weeks. Damage from marijuana occurs mainly in the nervous system and brain altering the brains controls causing atrophy of the brain and muscles something you want to avoid if you are trying to build muscle and improve your fitness. Marijuana causes far greater lung damage than seen with cigarette smokers. Marijuana smoking puts users at a big disadvantage when it comes to fitness, users will find breathing hard and their muscles will get exhausted a lot quicker than non-users.
