Ski Fit

If you have a Skiing holiday booked, and it is only a month or so away, why not get prepared so your skiing is more enjoyable and your risk of injury is reduced.

Skiing puts quite a bit of pressure on the legs and if you have not been inside a gym for awhile getting prepared for that ski holiday will certainly reduce your risk of injury by strengthening the muscles in the legs.

The “Ski Fit” package is a month long package of 1 session per week personal training geared directly towards improving leg strength and flexibility.

Leg strength- working on the quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings to ensure they are ready to be put through their paces on the slopes, helping against muscle fatigue as well as giving the knee and ankles support so are less likely to be injured as the pressure is taken up through the muscle rather than the knee or ankle joint.

Leg flexibility- so that if you are to fall and your legs go out to the side, your less likely to pull a muscle or injure your back, knees or ankles.

Tennis Fit

Whether you play tennis every week or have just started, this package will condition your body to help deliver the shots you want.  ”Tennis Fit” will

-Increase your arm and shoulder strength ensuring more power behind your shots

-Strengthen your rotator cuff protecting you against shoulder injuries common in tennis when the shoulder is put through a swing at a slightly wrong angle.

-Strenthening your forearms, biceps and triceps to prevent “tennis elbow.”

-Balance to ensure you stay on your feet

Wedding Fit

With the big day coming up it may have just hit you that quite a few people will be looking at your figure on that day, don’t panic, even 2 months away we can still make a considerable difference.  On your wedding day the two main areas you want looking great are your arms and shoulders as they are what are most on display and of course bringing the stomach in so the dress fits better around the waist.  The “Wedding Fit” package concentrates on these areas through nutrition planning and isolation training to ensure you get the best visual effect prior to the big day.

Desk Fit

We see a huge amount of people coming to us with neck pains and lower back problems caused from sitting in a slumped position at the desk week on week, day after day.  The “Desk Fit” package is designed to get your posture corrected, develop the supporting muscles for better posture as well as increase energy levels through a better diet to battle that daily lethargic feeling you need the early coffee for to start the day.  Chiropractor, Nick Lamond, will also assess you and treat you for two sessions to start getting vertebrae moving that are common to staying stiff when kept immobile for long periods of time when you are sitting at your desk.  Stiff vertebrae lead to back and neck pain, keeping them moving allows the body to move in its natural form leaving your posture looking relaxed, not rigid and hunched.
