So you have just got your YMCA personal trainer award or premier award, you have put in hours of work to achieve this and feel that now is the time to reap the rewards. Unfortunately its not as easy as this, personal training is very competitive, in 1994 you could qualify start freelance and pick up clients with a bit of local advertising now everyone is in the industry and it is much harder. I have met many personal trainers over the years and very few make a decent living. The papers publicise a career where many make £80,000 plus salaries a year this is only the case for very few. The personal trainer business skills course covers the essentials that will make a difference from you making £10,000 a year to £90,000 a year. I have worked up from the bottom and been freelance the whole time, starting with a YMCA qualification with no business knowledge of the industry to setting up Personal Training Studios and training 30-hour weeks with clients varying
from athletes to local Notting Hill Celebes. In my course we will cover everything you need to be a successful freelance PT. I will teach you the essential marketing for the industry and everything you need to know in terms of website design, flyering, and building your image. If you are
going the health club route I will advise you which health clubs to target and how to target them. If freelance I will cover the essentials to building your business in your chosen London borough and how to go on to studio set up afterwards. I will advise you which studios in which boroughs
to rent, which parks to train at and which health clubs offer the best freelance personal training salaries.

The course is short but intense; 4 hours in total no break. The course is held in personal training studios and will also have a hands on approach in the gym with advanced tips on training your clients. The course has a maximum of 3 students for the day so providing a good learning environment. There will be an hour of question time where you can ask any questions.
