Side effects from too much protein

If you are trying to build muscle and are regularly following a high protein diet it may have crossed your mind what are the side effects of having too much protein? When on a high protein diet it is important to drink lots of water and exercise as exercising helps flush wastes out of your system more effectively, otherwise kidney stones can easily build up in a high protein diet. What’s the problem with kidney stones? You will soon see when you have to pass one of these out your body! The other problem with too much protein is leeching of calcium from your bones. When you digest protein acids are released and these are absorbed by calcium, not great for bone health and rising risk of osteoporosis.
